When co-operating makes it worse

Parallel parenting is a recognised approach, not a failure.

Where conflict stays high, attempts to co-operate reliably restart it. Parallel parenting accepts that: one written channel, logistics only, each home running its own routines without comment on the other.

Children do well in this arrangement. What they cannot do well with is being in the middle of the attempt.

It is not permanent. Many circles move back towards co-operation once the first year is behind them.

Try tonight
